106  Kinship / General Discussion / Re: Recent Departures on: January 26, 2010, 08:53:37 AM
We shall begin by working on plans to rebuild and renew Tinnu uin Galadhrim as an elven role-playing kinship that is balanced, and relaxed. Our core values ought to remain collaboration, courtesy, and fun. I look with hope that we as a team will rise to this challenge and see better days ahead with our usual thoughtfulness and supportive attitude.

Elven with just a touch of Hobbit!!  Wink

I'm sure that your steadfast leadership and that of our other officers can and will see us through this transition. I was sad to see our friends go, and wish them well. But our focus remains... and that's all that matters. Please let me know if there is any way I can be of assistance to you and to our other fine officers.

You certainly  have Perigard's sword for such a venture. He is always happy to quest with you.

Or.. if a minstrel is needed, Baridoc would be happy to join. Do let us know.

Just FYI, and in reference to the discussion Digger and I were having about the Herbalist Soldier... this is a very interesting thread from the 'Skirmishes' forum.

I would add that at the 'Ford of Bruinen' it is vitally important to draw the mobs to the circle into which the archers are firing. I actually park there when running this quest solo and I think it has saved Perigard's butt more than once.

And, btw... that 'Thieves and Trickery' run we did as a full fellowship last night is some of the best fun I've ever had in this game. That is a notoriously difficult skirmish and we beat it. I was high as a kite. Thanks for your tremendous healing, Master Goodsong.

You have my bow.

What a marvelous idea! I'm sure that Daffodile will be jumping for joy at the thought of this event. Count her in!

And, thank you to all for sharing your music.

113  Kinship / General Discussion / Re: Springtime is Time for a Rebirth of Kinship Events on: April 19, 2009, 09:01:13 PM
The flowers are blooming and the trees are covered with blossoms as I write this note.  Spring always stirs me to action, and winter always slows me down.  Now is a good time for us all to turn to and give life once again to those things that make us the kinship we are.  Friendship - Fellowship - Fun.

I am up for any and ALL of these events! Please tell me what I can do to help out!

Perigard, of the Red Sword.

..... and the rest too.

Dearest Kinfolks,Please post the epics that each of your characters is addressing and note if you are interested in a weekend night for accomplishing these.

Ah, Digger, my good friend! What exciting times are ahead!!

My friend Dangar, who is a level 47 guardian, is on Book 4, ch 7 and Book 6 ch 7. He has completed Books 1, 2, and 3, but has done none of the rest.

Cousin Folagar, who is a level 37 warden, is working on Book 3, ch 4, 5, and 6 and book 4, ch 2.

They would be happy to accompany any who wish to complete these epic quests. Weekends are best for them.. this I know.

it is probably best to get the group together first - those who will help and do.  Then list the quests they are currently needing from the epic story.  From there, the evening will unfold easily.  Another approach might be to simply determine the most shared Book being addressed; start with that and go forward for the evening.

I too am a weekend warrior with my weekdays filled with Lilly and home chores.  So for me this means Fridays and Sundays are the best.

Shire-friend, those days suit me best as well. I know that my friend Dangar, who is a guardian, is on Book 4, ch 7, Book 6 ch 7. He has completed Books 1, 2, and 3, but has done none of the rest. He would be happy to accompany any who also needs these quests. Cousin Folagar, who is a warden, is working on Book3, ch 4, 5, and 6 and book 4, ch 2.

Is it a thought to start a thread here where the kindred can list the books they have yet to complete?

I have come to realize that there are many, even among our most skilled heroes, who haven't completed all the epic tasks in Eriador.

I, for one, have a need to complete some of these quests... as do Dangar, Perigard... and our other cousins. I would be very happy to participate in these quests and heartily 'second' your suggestion that there be specific nights (days) set aside to do this. Also, I would humbly ask that at least one of these scheduled events take place on the weekend, as I am unable to participate during the week due to work. Thank you so much.

119  Lord of the Rings Online / Quests / Re: Quest nights on: January 27, 2009, 03:26:48 AM
I am proposing that Wednesday evening and Friday evening can become our instance runs.  they are only 6 person instances, but in a lot of the cases, you can get all 6 people, or close to it, through the instance in one evening so that everyone gets their ____________  (boots, gloves, chest, shoulders, etc.)

I think the idea of setting aside certain nights for these quests is a wonderful one. But.. may I humbly request that one of the scheduled times be on a weekend? Since I (or at least the lady who guides my steps) have to be up at 5:00 AM to go to work, I am unable to attend instance runs of this depth on weeknights.

With Hobbity Affection..

Baridoc, Perigard... and all the cousins.

Oh my THANK YOU for correcting me! I was in too much of a rush and grabbed the first 'Cal' I saw.  Shall correct at once.

I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the images. And Perigard will be happy to post any pictures the kin may want in this gallery.
