Title: Recent Departures
Post by: Orophor on January 24, 2010, 10:54:28 PM
As the letters from Littlebear and Palfo indicate, some of the officers and members of Tinnu uin Galadhrim and Strength In Numbers left their respective kinships to form a new kinship, called Disaster.

They wish to focus more on "end-game" raiding, and felt it would be better to do so as a single kinship rather than continue through our Leithrim alliance.

While I am sad to see them leave, I must respect their choice and would ask you to do likewise. Within Tinnu uin Galadhrim, we have no oath or bond to break, each of us is free to come, go, or return as time and fate allow.

In the days ahead, there will no doubt be further changes. At our core, I hope our spirit remains resilient and true to the heart of our kinship. We balance the need to achieve our goals ((role-play and questing)) and our daily lives ((Real life responsibilities to family, friends and work)) in a relaxed and fun way.

Your servant,
Orophor

Well it was certainly startling to see those in game mails, in the end I can definitely understand the reason for going even if I found it a little disappointing.  They'll certainly be missed, but I wish them well.

I was startled as well. I wish I could share more, but at this point I am still trying to understand the changes myself. Our leadership team needs time to assess the situation and adapt, so please bear with us. So far, it looks like Digger, Aelanor, Mithasul, Iryanna, Kethrandir, Emrys, and Calmegil are all still active officers. I will do my best to keep an open channel of communication.

We shall begin by working on plans to rebuild and renew Tinnu uin Galadhrim as an elven role-playing kinship that is balanced, and relaxed. Our core values ought to remain collaboration, courtesy, and fun. I look with hope that we as a team will rise to this challenge and see better days ahead with our usual thoughtfulness and supportive attitude.

It is my wish to remain calm at heart and take any feedback or suggestions with an open mind.

My sincere gratitude to you Tur, and all the officers of our great kin.  Along with the other members of our kin you all make this game better.  Your perseverance is tested day in and day out, and you still overcome all the challenges.  My-hat-is-off to you Tinnu-uin-galadhrim.

I wish to extend what help i can.  Please feel free to suggest areas of need and I shall help as much as possible.  Obviously grammar is not one of them, as you can read. :)

Here's to Tinnu-uin-galadhrim for the darkness forever rears it's ugly head, and we fight until breathe is but a dream.

Elven with just a touch of Hobbit!!  ;)

I'm sure that your steadfast leadership and that of our other officers can and will see us through this transition. I was sad to see our friends go, and wish them well. But our focus remains... and that's all that matters. Please let me know if there is any way I can be of assistance to you and to our other fine officers.

My Beloved Kinfolks,

I too am saddened at the loss of such good friends.  Yet I know that each seeks their own way to enjoy this adventure.  I wish them each and all the very best, and I do hope to see them still from time to time.  Abrupt departures are not fun for those like us who must understand and say farewell.  They happen nonetheless.  Now I hope that we will turn to each other, our kinfolk, and offer our aid to each others' quests and needs, as we always do.  When I am saddened, I find that helping my friends makes it pass quickly.

I will see you all on Saturday and Sunday next to move ahead in this dark Mirkwood place.  My, wouldn't I like to find a place of sunshine and an occasional tavern.  If you haven't noticed, I have found it most difficult to buy a good drink in the whole of Mirkwood.  The Inn League should hear of this.  What is the worth of a new Cloak of Total Greatness without a good mug of ale?  Jeez.

I send my greetings and good wishes to those old friends who left so abruptly.   May their paths be filled with glory and prizes, and may their comradeship thrive and grow.  They will be missed but remembered.
