91  Lord of the Rings Online / Quests / Re: Preparing for Creep Nite on: March 27, 2008, 07:57:17 AM
It was great fun.  My first time there although I got a bit bored after 2 or 3 hours of the same thing.

Besides Loraq, we were only following orders.  The warleader would pick a target and we obeyed like good little creeps. Roll Eyes

A Great Hunt is most definately needed especially with the new influx of kin.  Count me in when we decide to actually Hunt.

Master Digger,

A most excellent idea!!  I have tried to say hello and chat with some of the many new people but as of yet not met them in person, so to speak.

Sadly, I have noticed that none of the new kin have written a post on our boards of which much good information is to be found.

Yours,
Ariadan

Greetings Master Cook,

My alt (Helikaeon) is in need of some of your most excellent food.  He is a level 37 champion so I am mostly looking for food to boost morale, increase migt, or increase agility.

Thanks for taking on this undertaking.

Yes, that's even a better idea.  Too few of our own members use this website as it is.
96  Kinship / Ideas and Suggestions / Calendar of events on: February 29, 2008, 09:37:21 AM
It would be great if we could create a calendar in which members could try to schedule an event (such as a Carn Dum run, or an epic quest) with not only members of our kin but also with our allies.  People would then be able to sign up ahead of time and the person running the event could plan better for the event.

It does not appear that this website has that capability but some of our allies' websites have the capability and in fact some of our allies are doing the very same thing that I am suggesting.  Perhaps we could log on their website and be able to sign up and host events.

Until Lotro comes up with better stuff for kinships and alliances we need to pick up the slack.  It is great to be able to see that there are 23 members in the alliance logged on, however we can't see who they are.

See All Shall Fades website for what I'm thinking of.  In short, I believe that if we can implement something like this for our alliance then the smaller kins will have a better chance of organizing something.

Perhaps we could get an admin to delete those that we know for sure are no longer with us or better yet we can start a new post and require that new members of the kin update at least the character roster.

I have been seeing some new names and I don't know whether they are alts of new members.  I guess the easy way around that is to ask.
98  Kinship / Kinship In-Character Discussion / Re: Farewell for Now from the Osun Family on: February 28, 2008, 03:59:44 PM
I was on the other night as Helikaeon (level 34) and riding through the Shire when a friendly hobbit lass (level 9) inquired about our kinship.  I told her about our great kin and gave her the website address for our forums.

I think if we stop to talk with others and help them especially with book quests we can definately draw some inquiries.
99  Kinship / Kinship In-Character Discussion / Re: Farewell for Now from the Osun Family on: February 28, 2008, 11:04:46 AM
Even though I did not meet them, I have fine armor that was crafted by Osun!!  They will be missed.

That being said, our kinship appears to becoming smaller as the days grow longer.  We need to be recruiting to help fill out our ranks.  It would most especially be profitable to me and my family members if there were more fellow adventurers that resided within the same timeframe of the day that we travel (ie Eastern time).

Would it be appropriate to send out a tell advertising our fine kinship during the hours that we travel the Middle Earth roads?  If so, perhaps an officer could draft the advertisement that all of us could use to expand our fair kinship.

As always,
Ariadan

Dear kin,

There are several of us that are trying to complete books.  I suggest that we band together to assist Digger and Palfo with finishing book 5 and 7.  Afterwards (perhaps another evening), we can then proceed with book 8 (of which we three minstrels need) and then onto book 9 with Imara and Fireborn.

Perhaps we could get started this weekend and we will need one more to round out the fellowship?

Yours,
Ariadan

Kindly Master Digger,

I and my family thank you greatly for the dye - it was a most unexpected boon!!

Perhaps, it may be time to finally purchase a house and create a special cabinet to store all of that fine dye.  I find that my family becomes larger the older I get.

Warmest regards,
Ariadan

Thank you for clarifying!

Ok, now I'm really curious!!

I received a mail about the Ravenshire fund and then also received mail containing a huge supply of dye.

I thought the first mail stated that there was a place to read about this fund on our forums but I'm not seeing it.  Can someone enlighten me before I start thinking that I'm crazier than I already am?

Thanks kindly,
Ariadan Huh

I am wondering if there is such a site for weaponcrafting as well?

Hosklar,

Any news on how the Raid on Helegrod is shaping up?  What level do you need to be in order to attend this event?

Thanks,
Ariadan
