In addition to her fine musical talents, our kinswoman Sakota also has an eye for composition as her pictures from the party well-show. Recap our one year anniversary with her pictures in our gallery.

Happy Yule!

It's been a very busy month, and there are many things still to do, but I wanted to point out a nice Yuletide task for you all. Read about it in this forum post.

A Grand Party!

To celebrate a house warming and Digger's Birthday, we are saving the date November 17 at 8 PM Eastern US time for a Grand Party. There will be plenty of drinks, pipeweed, music, dancing, and even a riddle contest! Details are here in this forum post..

Housing Open House on Roheryn.

Turbine is previewing the housing update of Book 11 on the Roheryn public preview server. Thanks to Irreth, Hosklar, Calandil, Perila and myself we have some advanced looks at the housing options. Check out the screenshots and maps in our gallery.

Great Hall of Crafts.

Building on his successful skills of organization and tailoring, the kind hobbit Digger Goodsong has called the crafters of Tinnu uin Galadhrim to gather and build on the inspired work of House Goodsong to create a system for the production and advancement of all crafts for the kinship. Read about it here in its forum thread.

The Silver Willow, an allied kinship.

It is our honour to know a kinship kindred to our own, The Silver Willow. Their Tūr, Rilia Tholos, has adventured with our kin and graciously offered to aid us in times of need. Likewise we should do the same for her and her kin, as we are of like minds and serve similar purpose against our mutual foes.

Gallery posted with kinship events.

In the month of July, we have been very busy. I have struggled to document some of our activities. Thanks to Retribute for turning in a few more shreenshots for our growing collection, to Digger for hosting a great party, and to Jasz, Tineriel and Fireborn for helping out with the gathering. As always, if you have something to share with the kin and would like it published here, let me know.

Digger Goodsong hosts a gathering of kin.

The talented and hard-working hobbit minstrel, Digger Goodsong has graciously offered up fine halfling hospitality for a party of special magnificence. Be sure to make every effort to join us on July 22, 2007, 4 PM Eastern for a gathering of kin at the Party Tree in the Shire.

Here is what Master Goodsong himself said:

Mae Govannen!   Good kin and Free People,

Lil Digger has been busy and is worried no more.  The Party preparations are in full swing.  Musikans are being hired (see posting on Nimrodel forum).  Contests and games are decided.  Prizes are being collected.  And the Party Tree is reserved.  So our order is placed with good Barliman for his finest ale.  The pipeweed is on order with some delightful surprises in it.  And party hats will be produced and colored this weekend.  We are busy as bees here in the Shire getting ready to host you wonderful folk and great adventurers.  Everyone is running and gathering and talking and drinking and making me turn about on my heels.  Orders are flying out my doors.  It will be a grand event.  We have invited honored guests through Patience, but have not yet heard their
RSVP.

So what are the contests and games?  Well, a few hints will help you get ready to win our secret prizes - ordered from Celondim!

First, we will GET EMOTIONAL and warm-up with some /cheers, /salutes, /bows and /laughs. This will start us all on getting our new emotes like dragonbreath and juggling.

Next, a RACE - DRINK FAST AND RUN will pit the fastest of you in contest to test your drinking and running.  Hint: do learn the layout around the Party Tree area such as where vendors are and such.  Racers will run to get things and come back, after drinking, while drinking, and then drinking.  Did I mention the drinking part yet? Wink  No horses or fast-travel allowed, just pure running and drinking.

Third, a STORY-TELLING contest.  The theme is "While I was on my way to Digger's Party, the strangest thing happened."   From there, the winners will have created the most imaginative fiction/fact tale to warm our ears and cheer our hearts.  Judges will determine winners, so prepare your tales - all.

Finally, during the story-telling, a game of PASS THE PIE.  I shall start passing pies around, and each person will either pass the pie or trade it up for some equal or better thing to pass along.  At each pass/trade, the giver says, 'Here's the PIE.  Pass it on.'  When I call a stop, whoever has whatever it is shows it to us all and keeps it as the prize.  Many pies will start and end, so bring some things to trade up (equal or better than Mushroom Pies).

And closing the Party, when the musikans are worn out and we have drank and danced our bits, a
GREAT TOASTING AND ROASTING to our kin will be given by one and all.  HOWEVER, toasts at Fallowhide parties are always done in Shimmericks.  My Ma was wonderful with these little rhymes.  The are made like this:

'There once was a Hobbit named Digger,
Who was short, stout, and no bigger,
He ate and he drank,
Which stretched out his flank,
Till he grew out not up in his figure.

All of ya are expected to toast the Tinnu Uin Galadhrim or one of our kin with a Shimmerick at the end with our Great Toasting and Roasting.  So be prepared.

Oh my, more folk at my door now with orders to fill and things to see to.  I must run.  Wait, wait.  Did I say how much I love having you all as guests at this Party.  We are a wonderful kin.  Let's celebrate and have a jolly time at the Gathering of the Kin!

Your Friend and Kin,
Digger Goodsong
A Most Busy Hobbit

Kin updates and contributions.

In the month of June we welcomed fourteen new kin to Tinnu uin Galadhrim. It's exciting to see things starting to take shape as there are more and more of us online.

Retribute, Calindriel, Hosklar, Calandil, Staffen and myself all sent screenshots that are being used in this update. If any of the kinship would like to share screenshots or other materials for the website, you are invited to do so.

Gather friends, let this be a forum of our thoughts.

Like everything else here, it is a work in progress, but we now have a functional web-forum of our very own! Some of the advanced features include a spell-checker and my favorite, automatic online patches.

Please register and expect more to come, announced both here on the main page and also in the new announcements board of the forums.

May a star shine upon this meeting

Welcome friends. This kinship is just getting started and the website is coming online as soon as possible.

Expect changes to come, including further design work, forums, a wiki and perhaps even a mailing list. Until that comes online, please bear with us.

Here is the initial thread from our founder Lillassea on the lotro forums:

Mae Govannen.

My heart hopes this missive finds you all safe in these dark times. The growing threat in the East, familiar to many of us who still remain, grows larger still.

We are a fledgling band of Elves and Elf-Friends known as Tinnu uin Galadhrim. Working together, we hope to extinguish the flames of the enemy before all is lost. Our destination and our fates cannot be forseen, however, we aim to keep close to one another, so that the Light may guide us safely home once all is said and done. If you should like to join us in this Kinship, this most important Alliance for the fate of the world, then you are most welcome. I look forward to speaking to you, and to travelling alongside you as our paths cross the whole of Arda.

May the Valar light your path,

Lillassea Ornendil Dath'anar

(Tinnu uin Galadhrim (Twilight of the Galadhrim) is a Roleplaying Kinship on the Nimrodel server, looking for like-minded people to join us. Our Roleplay is for all levels of experience, and it is not required for membership, though encouraged. We are looking for members who, like us, like to play more for the story and the journey than the destination.

PvP/Raiding: We may PvP/Monster-play, though it is not a focus. Raiding as well will likely be something we do in the future but like PvP, is not one of our chief concerns.

Requirements:While we are mostly Elven, we welcome all races/classes/levels, as long as you are mature, have a sense of humor, and are looking for a group who goes at a slightly slower pace, enjoying the game for what it is, as opposed to rushing through it.

Website/Voicechat: In progress

If we sound like the group for you, or if you have questions, please contact one of our Officers in game: Lillassea, Melethiel, Tyrlian, Hylar. Or send me (Lillassea) a PM on the forums, thanks!)
